Materials & Craftsmanship

Boards, finishes, hardware and countertops — the details that decide how your furniture looks and lasts.

Custom furniture is only as good as the materials behind it. This page explains exactly what we use, why we choose it, and which option suits your market — so you can compare our offer against any other supplier on equal terms.

1. Carcass & Panel Boards

The core of every cabinet. We select the board according to budget, humidity level at destination, and expected service life.

Board typeBest forMoisture resistanceCost level
Particle board (chipboard)Dry-climate interiors, cost-driven projectsStandard / Green core available$
MDF (medium density fibreboard)Routed, curved and lacquered doorsStandard / MR (moisture resistant)$$
Plywood (multi-layer)High-humidity markets, marine & bathroom useExcellent$$$
Blockboard / solid woodPremium doors, visible structural partsGood (species dependent)$$$$

Southeast Asia note: for Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia we recommend MR-MDF or plywood carcasses in kitchens and bathrooms. Standard chipboard performs poorly at 80%+ relative humidity — this is the single most common cause of cabinet failure in tropical markets.

2. Surface Finishes

We send physical finish samples before production so you approve the exact colour and texture — never a screen render.

3. Hardware

Hardware is where cheap furniture fails first. We fit branded hardware as standard on request, and always specify the exact model in your quotation so nothing is substituted.

5. Environmental & Compliance Standards

All boards can be supplied to the following emission grades. Please state your destination country and we will match the legal requirement.

  • E0 / E1 — low formaldehyde emission, standard requirement in the EU, Australia and much of Asia
  • CARB Phase 2 / TSCA Title VI — mandatory for the United States
  • FSC-certified options available on request for EU and eco-sensitive tenders
  • Formaldehyde test reports issued per batch, available for customs and client submission
CNC machining of furniture panels

Our Production Process

Every order passes through eight controlled stages: drawing confirmation → material cutting → edge banding → CNC drilling → surface finishing → assembly trial → QC inspection → export packing. Nothing moves to the next stage until the previous one is signed off.

6. Edge Banding & Detail Work

Edge banding is the most visible sign of quality. We use 1–2 mm PVC or ABS banding (not thin 0.4 mm), matched to panel colour, with PUR or EVA glue and post-forming for a seamless look on curved edges.
